Focus on Liverpool vs PSG: Can the Anfield Miracle Happen Again?

As the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg approaches, Liverpool are set to host Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield. After suffering a 0-2 defeat in the first leg away from home, the Reds remain confident about staging a dramatic comeback.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai expressed strong belief in his team’s chances.
“I truly believe we can turn this around. We know our quality, we know what we are capable of. The players we have, our mentality, and what we’ve shown in the past all prove that we can do it,” he said.
Addressing a recent misunderstanding with fans, Szoboszlai clarified his intentions and reaffirmed unity:
“The fans mean everything to this club. Everything we do is for them as well as for ourselves. I never felt above them — we stand together as one.”
Looking ahead to the decisive clash, his message was clear and full of determination:
“We will give everything from the first minute until the very end. If 90 minutes isn’t enough, we’re ready to go 120 or even longer. At Anfield, anything can happen.”
From a data and betting perspective, the pre-match Nowgoal 1x2 odds also highlight the uncertainty surrounding this tie. While Paris Saint-Germain hold a two-goal advantage, Liverpool’s home strength keeps the contest wide open.
Comparing PSG to previous years, Szoboszlai noted a significant evolution:
“They are very different now. Before, they had superstars like Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, and Neymar. Now they play with a different structure and style. They are still very strong and arrive here full of confidence with a 2-0 lead.”
Despite the challenge, Liverpool are fully prepared to fight for a famous comeback on home soil.
