Thomas Tuchel Submits England’s Preliminary 55-Man World Cup Squad as Surprise Names Emerge

According to French journalist Sebastien Vidal, Thomas Tuchel has submitted England’s preliminary 55-man squad for the World Cup.
The report states that Tuchel has already outlined the initial framework of England’s World Cup roster and submitted a 55-player provisional list to FIFA.
Several somewhat surprising names were included on the list, such as Luke Shaw, Danny Welbeck, and Alex Scott. Meanwhile, despite fierce competition for places, Trent Alexander-Arnold has also made the provisional squad.
The journalist added that the battle for the final 26 spots is expected to be extremely intense.
