Liga 4 National Round Draw Unveiled as 64 Clubs Begin Road to Promotion

The 2025/2026 Piala Presiden Liga 4 Nasional officially entered its most competitive stage after the national round draw for the last 64 teams was completed on Wednesday. The tournament will run from May 30 until July 11, featuring 64 clubs from across Indonesia competing for six promotion spots to next season's Liga Nusantara. Several intriguing groups emerged immediately after the draw, creating excitement among supporters and regional football communities.

One of the biggest talking points involves Pasuruan United, now coached by former Indonesia international defender Bio Paulin. The East Java side was placed in Group N alongside Persigar Garut, PSAP Sigli, and Bolsel FC. With Pasuruan United hosting matches at Stadion R. Soedarsono, the group is expected to attract strong local attention as the club aims to capitalize on home support.

The competition format will use a home tournament system combined with a single round-robin setup during the round of 64. Each group contains four teams, and only the top two sides will progress to the round of 32. The stakes are extremely high because the tournament serves as the main pathway for local clubs to earn promotion into the national football structure and gain greater exposure on the Indonesian football scene.

Following the round of 32, the competition will continue into the decisive quarterfinal stage featuring two groups of four teams. The winners and runners-up from each quarterfinal group will automatically secure places in the semifinals while also confirming promotion to Liga Nusantara. Two additional promotion tickets will then be awarded to the best third-placed teams, making every match crucial throughout the tournament.

The semifinals are scheduled for July 8, with the final taking place three days later. By that stage, all four semifinalists will already have secured promotion, meaning the championship match will purely decide who becomes the national champion of the 2025/2026 Liga 4 Piala Presiden. With clubs from various regions eager to make history, the tournament is expected to deliver fierce competition and provide a major platform for emerging talents in Indonesian football.
