Inter Milan Launch Summer Rebuild with Three Key Targets

Inter Milan have wasted no time preparing for the upcoming season after ending the 2025-26 campaign with both the Serie A title and Coppa Italia. The domestic double marked one of the club's most successful seasons since the famous treble-winning era under Jose Mourinho, and the management is now determined to strengthen the squad even further.

The Nerazzurri are expected to make significant changes during the summer transfer window. Several players are approaching the end of their contracts, and only Stefan de Vrij currently appears likely to remain at the club. The departures will create space for new arrivals as the board begins shaping the next phase of the project.

Inter's transfer strategy reportedly focuses on signing three players for three different positions: a defender, a midfielder, and a winger. Club executives Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio have already identified their priority targets, with the aim of building a squad capable of maintaining dominance both domestically and in Europe.

One of the main names on Inter's shortlist is Roma midfielder Manu Koné. Financial Fair Play pressure could force Roma to sell players before the end of June, giving Inter a potential opportunity to secure the talented Frenchman. Another highly rated target is Marco Palestra, who recently earned attention after being recognized as the fastest player in Serie A. Inter view him as a long-term investment who could thrive in Cristian Chivu's 3-5-2 system.

The defensive situation remains less certain as negotiations for Tarik Muharemovic have reportedly slowed down. Because of that, Inter are still evaluating alternative options, with Oumar Solet among the names linked to the club. Even so, the overall direction is clear as Inter continue building a younger and more competitive squad for the future.
