Paulo Dybala Nears New AS Roma Deal After Strong Finish to Season

AS Roma moved closer to securing the future of Paulo Dybala following positive progress in contract negotiations. The Argentine forward is expected to extend his stay in the Italian capital until June 2027, strengthening Roma's plans for the upcoming campaign.

The latest development came shortly after Roma earned an important Serie A victory over Hellas Verona FC at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi. Donyell Malen opened the scoring in a result that boosted the club's momentum at the end of the season, while Dybala remained a central figure within the squad despite ongoing discussions about his future.

Although Dybala has already returned to Argentina after the season concluded, negotiations have continued through his agent, Carlos Novel, who remains in Rome to finalize details with the club. Roma executive Ryan Friedkin is also expected to meet with Dybala's representatives in the coming days as both sides work toward completing the agreement.

Reports indicate that Roma and Dybala have already reached common ground on a one-year extension with a salary package that includes performance-based bonuses. The agreement reflects the club's belief that the experienced attacker can still play a key role as Roma prepares to compete in the 2026/2027 Champions League campaign.

Head coach Gian Piero Gasperini remains optimistic about Dybala's future at the club. After dealing with the player's absence for several months due to injury problems, Roma now sees his continued presence as an important part of building a competitive squad capable of challenging both domestically and in Europe.
