Arema FC Begin Major Squad Overhaul Ahead of 2026/2027 Season, Three Players Released
Arema FC have started early preparations for the 2026/2027 season by restructuring their squad just days into June. The club has confirmed that three players will not continue with the team as part of an initial evaluation following the end of the previous campaign. This move signals the beginning of a broader rebuilding process aimed at improving competitiveness.
One of the players released is Iksan Lestaluhu, a young winger who spent around two years with the club. During his time at Arema FC, he made 30 appearances and contributed two goals, while also featuring for the U20 side and being part of the squad that won the 2024 preseason tournament.
Another departure is Brazilian attacking midfielder Valdeci Moreira, whose contract was not extended after the end of the 2025/2026 season. He played an important creative role in midfield, recording five goals and two assists in 26 league appearances, and was considered one of the key contributors to the team's attacking build-up.
The third player leaving the club is young striker Agusti Ardiansyah, who spent only one season with Arema FC. The 18-year-old mainly played for the U20 squad in the Elite Pro Academy, making 13 appearances and scoring twice, while also being included in senior matchday squads on a few occasions.
Club management emphasized that the departures are part of a long-term development plan rather than isolated decisions. They expressed appreciation for each player's contribution and highlighted their potential to grow further at their next destinations, as Arema FC continues shaping a more balanced and competitive squad for the upcoming season.
