France 2026 Squad Leads World Cup History as Most Valuable Starting XI (€908m)

June 17 – Transfermarkt has compiled the ranking of the most valuable starting lineups in World Cup history.
France's starting XI from their 3-1 win over Senegal at this year's tournament tops the list with a value of €908 million. In second place is France's lineup from their 2018 World Cup win over Australia, valued at €710 million. Brazil's starting XI from their 2018 draw with Switzerland ranks third at €650 million.
Notably, French starting lineups occupy seven spots in the top 10, with six of those coming from their 2018 championship-winning campaign.
