Allegri Leaves AC Milan Without Severance as Napoli Move Nears

Massimiliano Allegri has officially ended his contract with AC Milan after reaching a mutual agreement with the club. In a surprising decision, the experienced coach chose not to accept a severance package, requesting only the final month's salary for himself and his coaching staff.

The agreement followed weeks of negotiations that had been delayed by changes within Milan's management structure. Although Allegri's contract was originally set to run until June 2027, both parties agreed to terminate the deal early, bringing an end to one of the most closely watched managerial situations in Serie A.

With his release finalized, Allegri is now expected to begin a new chapter with Napoli. Reports indicate that he is set to sign a three-year contract worth €4.5 million per season, replacing Antonio Conte after the club decided to move in a different direction despite recent domestic success.

Meanwhile, AC Milan has already appointed Ruben Amorim as the club's new head coach. The Portuguese manager has quickly become involved in shaping the squad, taking an active role in identifying transfer targets and planning the team's future.

The coaching transition also highlights one of the key issues during Allegri's time at Milan. Greater influence over recruitment had reportedly been one of his primary requests, but the club ultimately moved forward with a different vision under its new managerial structure, paving the way for both sides to pursue separate paths.
