Persib Complete Blockbuster Signing of Argentine Star Mariano Peralta
Persib Bandung have officially completed the signing of Argentine winger Mariano Peralta, ending weeks of transfer speculation. The club has secured the 28-year-old on a two-year contract that will keep him at the reigning Indonesian champions until 2028.
Peralta arrives after an outstanding 2025/26 campaign with Borneo FC, where he was named the Super League's Best Player. He enjoyed a remarkable season, scoring 20 goals and providing 14 assists in 34 appearances, making him one of the league's most influential attacking players.
The move is part of Persib's plan to strengthen the squad ahead of a demanding 2026/27 season. The coaching staff identified Peralta as a priority signing because of his pace, attacking versatility, and proven ability to create and finish scoring opportunities.
Club management believes the Argentine will significantly improve Persib's attacking output while adding quality and depth to the squad. The team is aiming not only to defend its domestic title but also to make a strong impact in both Asian and Southeast Asian competitions.
Persib are confident Peralta can quickly adapt to the club's playing style and the passionate support of the Bobotoh. With his experience and consistent performances, the Argentine is expected to become a key figure in the team's pursuit of silverware over the next two seasons.
