Fiorentina Punish Moise Kean as Transfer Standoff With Como Escalates
Fiorentina have taken disciplinary action against Moise Kean after the Italian striker arrived late for Wednesday morning’s training session. The club responded with a fine and made it clear that further disciplinary issues could lead to additional punishment as tensions surrounding his future continue to grow.
Kean has recently been at the centre of transfer speculation after Como emerged with a reported €40 million proposal for the 26-year-old forward. Despite the interest, Fiorentina are under no immediate pressure to sell and remain determined to protect their position in negotiations. The situation has become more complicated as Kean has shown reluctance to continue training normally with the Viola squad.
Fiorentina subsequently called Kean back for an individual training session on Wednesday afternoon. The club is prepared to impose further fines if he commits another disciplinary violation. More importantly, continued resistance to training could have sporting consequences, with the striker potentially being left out of matchday squads for an extended period.
According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Fiorentina are holding firm on a valuation of at least €45 million. Unless Como improve their offer to meet that figure, the club is prepared to keep Kean in Florence rather than accept a lower fee. This stance gives Fiorentina greater control over the situation despite the growing uncertainty surrounding the player.
Even if Como eventually agrees to the asking price, Fiorentina are not planning to let Kean leave immediately. The club wants to secure a suitable replacement before approving the transfer, underlining how important the striker remains to their plans. The approach reflects Fiorentina’s determination to protect both their financial interests and squad balance while the transfer dispute develops.
