Jack Grealish Set for Everton Return as Toffees Secure Another Loan Deal

Everton are closing in on another season-long loan deal for Jack Grealish, bringing the England international back to Goodison Park for the 2026/27 campaign. The 30-year-old winger is set to return from Manchester City after Everton were impressed by his contribution during the previous season. The move is expected to be completed after Grealish undergoes his medical before the transfer deadline.

Grealish made 20 appearances for Everton last season, scoring twice and providing six assists before a foot injury brought his campaign to an early end in January. Despite his limited playing time, his creativity and experience made a positive impression on the Merseyside club. That impact helped convince Everton to pursue another loan despite interest from several other teams, including Aston Villa, where Grealish began his professional career.

Everton's decision to bring him back also comes as the club prepares for significant changes in its attacking department. Iliman Ndiaye is reportedly close to joining Manchester City in a deal worth around £65 million, leaving Everton in need of additional firepower. The club are also working on a potential £40 million move for Monaco and United States forward Folarin Balogun, while efforts to bring Richarlison back from Tottenham have encountered difficulties over personal terms.

For Grealish, returning to Everton could provide an important opportunity to regain regular first-team football. He has made only two appearances for Manchester City at the beginning of the new season, both coming from the bench. A familiar environment at Goodison Park should allow him to settle quickly while giving him the chance to rebuild his rhythm and confidence after a difficult period.
