Michail Antonio Returns to English Football With Watford Move

Michail Antonio has officially joined Championship side Watford on a one-year contract, marking his return to English football after leaving West Ham United in 2025. The experienced forward, now 36, is set to bring his wealth of experience back to the domestic game after spending the previous stage of his career in Qatar.

Antonio moved to Al-Sailiya after recovering from serious injuries sustained in a major car accident at the end of 2024. The Jamaica international has since worked his way back to full fitness and now returns to the EFL with an impressive record of 410 appearances and 96 goals across the Premier League and Championship. His experience at the highest levels of English football makes him a valuable addition to Watford.

Watford see Antonio as a player capable of adding leadership, experience and greater attacking strength to the squad.
