Everton will offer Branthwaite a significant pay rise to compensate for missing out on a move to Manchester United

According to the Mirror, Everton will offer Branthwaite a significant pay rise to compensate for missing out on a move to Manchester United.
The report states that after Branthwaite agreed on personal terms with Manchester United (reportedly £160,000 per week), Everton refused to lower their £70 million valuation of the English defender. Manchester United would not offer more than £40 million, preventing Branthwaite from completing the lucrative transfer. Meanwhile, Manchester United have signed French center-back Yoro from Lille and are close to signing Bayern center-back De Ligt, which means Branthwaite seems set to start the new season at Everton, where his current weekly wage is around £40,000.
However, this situation won't last long, as Everton plan to offer Branthwaite a new contract with a significant pay rise to deter interest from other clubs.
