Man Utd to Offload Six Players and Loan Out £82m Signing Antony

Manchester United are set to continue their squad overhaul by selling six more players and loaning out Brazilian winger Antony, who joined the club for £82 million from Ajax in 2022. The club aims to trim Erik ten Hag's squad and generate funds for new signings.

United have already seen several high-profile departures this summer, including Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, Willy Kambwala, and Donny van de Beek. The club is now prepared to listen to offers for defenders Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Maguire, who has faced criticism and lost his captaincy last year, has made over 200 appearances for the club. Wan-Bissaka, linked with a move to West Ham, could also leave at a loss of around £30 million.

Midfielders Scott McTominay, Christian Eriksen, and Casemiro are also on the transfer list. McTominay has drawn interest from Tottenham, Fulham, and West Ham, despite struggling to secure a regular spot in the team. Eriksen's performance dipped last season, while Casemiro may head to Saudi Arabia after a challenging campaign.

Antony, who underperformed last season with just one Premier League goal, will be allowed to leave on loan if a club agrees to cover his wages.
Manager Erik ten Hag, who saved his job by winning the FA Cup, believes the team can achieve high levels when fully fit but insists on the need for more signings. United's 2024-25 season kicks off on August 10 against Manchester City in the Community Shield, followed by their Premier League opener against Fulham.
The club has already signed Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee and French defender Leny Yoro, beating competition from Real Madrid for the latter. Ten Hag emphasizes the need for squad depth to cope with a busy season, including the new European format and a condensed January schedule.
