Argentine Football Association Official: Complaint Submitted to FIFA Regarding Incident in Match Against Morocco U23

The previous group stage match between Argentina and Morocco in the Paris Olympics men's football tournament caused chaos due to Argentina's stoppage-time equalizer, leading to a suspension of the game. After 1 hour and 40 minutes, the goal was finally ruled invalid, and the match resumed. In response to this incident, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) has lodged a complaint with FIFA's Disciplinary Committee.
In a public statement, AFA President Claudio Tapia said: "As Argentinians, our experience today in Saint-Étienne is regrettable. After waiting in the locker room for nearly two hours, our players had to return to the field to warm up and continue the game. Following the pitch invasion by Moroccan spectators and the violent attacks on the Argentine delegation, the referee should have called off the match. This was meaningless and violated the rules of the game."
"Furthermore, both team captains agreed that the match should not resume, but their opinions were ignored. The AFA has submitted a complaint to FIFA's Disciplinary Committee to take appropriate regulatory measures and hold those responsible accountable."
