Demichelis resigns

According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, River Plate is attempting to bring back their esteemed former coach, Marcelo Gallardo, after Demichelis resigned.
River Plate officially announced that Demichelis has resigned from his position as head coach of the first team. According to Schira's report, River Plate is now in the process of appointing a new head coach, and their current target is their former coach, Argentine Marcelo Gallardo, who parted ways with Al-Ittihad in early July.
The 48-year-old Gallardo previously served as River Plate's head coach from 2014 to 2022, during which time he led the team to win 2 Copa Libertadores titles, 1 Argentine Primera División title, 1 Copa Sudamericana title, 3 Recopa Sudamericana titles, and 3 Copa Argentina titles.
