Former Leicester City manager Shakespeare has passed away from cancer at the age of 60

Mourning! Former Leicester City manager Shakespeare has passed away from cancer at the age of 60.
The League Managers Association (LMA) released a statement on behalf of Shakespeare's family: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Craig Shakespeare. Craig passed away peacefully at home this morning, surrounded by his family. While the family is incredibly proud of his achievements in football as a player and coach, to us, he was always a loving and beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. This loss is devastating for all of us, and we ask for privacy during this extremely difficult time to allow us to grieve and remember this special person. The family would like to thank and acknowledge the prayers and blessings sent over the past few difficult months. We cannot respond to each one, but they have meant a great deal to Craig and the family."
In October last year, Leicester City officially revealed that former manager Craig Shakespeare had been diagnosed with cancer. Craig Shakespeare had long served as Leicester City's assistant coach. In February 2017, after Ranieri's departure, Shakespeare became Leicester City's interim manager and was confirmed as the permanent manager a month later. In October 2017, Shakespeare left Leicester City and subsequently served as an assistant coach at Everton, Watford, Aston Villa, and Norwich. His last coaching role was as an assistant coach at Leicester City from April to June 2023.
