West Ham Sign Leeds Forward Crysencio Summerville

West Ham United have completed the signing of Dutch forward Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United for a fee exceeding £25 million, including add-ons. The 22-year-old has signed a five-year contract with an option for an additional year at the London Stadium.

Summerville expressed his excitement about the move, stating, "It's the perfect next step for my career. I'm here to help write more history and I'd love to help West Ham get back into Europe." During his time at Leeds, Summerville made 89 appearances and scored 25 goals across all competitions after joining from Feyenoord for £1.3 million in 2020.
West Ham are also nearing a £27 million deal for German striker Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund. The club has been active this summer, with technical director Tim Steidten focused on strengthening Julen Lopetegui’s squad. In addition to Summerville, the Hammers have already signed Wolves captain Max Kilman for £40 million, goalkeeper Wes Foderingham from Sheffield United, and Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme for £25.5 million from Palmeiras.
Summerville, who was last season's Championship Player of the Year, revealed that conversations with the head coach convinced him that he could make a significant impact at West Ham. "I had the feeling that this is the best place for me to continue developing as a player, and to push my potential as much as possible," he added.
