Ter Stegen Has Successfully Undergone Surgery for a Right Knee Patellar Tendon Injury

According to an official announcement from FC Barcelona, the team's goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has successfully undergone surgery for a right knee patellar tendon injury.

The club stated that the surgery on Ter Stegen's right knee patellar tendon was successfully performed by Dr. Joan Carles Monllau under the supervision of the club's medical team. He will be sidelined, and his return will depend on his recovery progress.

Ter Stegen suffered a severe injury during the sixth round of La Liga in an away match against Villarreal, which was later confirmed to be a complete rupture of the right knee patellar tendon. Previous reports indicated that Ter Stegen is expected to be out for 7-8 months.
