French defender Raphael Varane is considering retirement due to injury issues

According to reports, French defender Raphael Varane, who plays for Como, is considering retirement due to injury issues.
A report from Le Parisien suggests that despite facing an exciting challenge with Serie A newcomers Como, Varane may be close to saying goodbye to football after a series of physical problems. The 2018 World Cup-winning defender is contemplating ending his professional football career and may announce his decision soon. Since the start of this season, Varane has been battling a knee injury and has only appeared once for Como in the first round of the Coppa Italia.
After spending three seasons at Manchester United, the French defender transferred to Como, but his health has deteriorated over the past three seasons. Following a serious knee injury, Como has removed Varane from their Serie A squad for this season, knowing that head coach Cesc Fàbregas won't be able to rely on him for several months.
