Jamaica head coach Paul McLaren is keeping an eye on Mason Greenwood
Jamaica head coach Paul McLaren shared his thoughts on Mason Greenwood in a recent interview with the media.

McLaren said, “I’ve heard a lot about Greenwood, and I’ve been in regular contact with him. Our message has always been consistent: ‘when the time is right.’”
“You have to consider that he’s been through a tough period over the past two years. He’s been loaned out, moved here and there—there’s been a lot of media coverage. I think he just wants to settle at Marseille and enjoy his football, and he’s doing that.”
“At the same time, he wants to join the Jamaican national team. I know this for sure; every time we talk, I have no reason to doubt it. The process is ongoing.”
“I hope by March we’ll have made some progress on all fronts. As I’ve said, our whole project and process is centered around World Cup qualification—that remains our goal.”
“I know it’s still some time away, but this is our long-term goal that we’re planning and considering right now. We’re keeping an eye on Greenwood and will keep you updated.”
