Full of confidence after a five-match unbeaten streak in Serie A, capped off by a victory over Atalanta in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals earlier this week, Bologna ventured south to Lecce last week with high hopes. However, on the Via del Mare, Vincenzo Italiano's team failed to score, settling for a 0-0 draw.
Moreover, goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski showcased heroics in the first half, securing a point for his team as Lecce appeared much closer to victory. Nevertheless, the Rossoblu can now achieve an unbeaten start to the calendar year in their first seven league matches for the first time since 2012.
