Arema FC Plans Comprehensive Match Simulation at Kanjuruhan Stadium
Arema FC is preparing to conduct an extensive match simulation at Kanjuruhan Stadium, located in Kepanjen, Malang, East Java. This simulation will take place in the form of a trial match before the official competitive games are scheduled.
The club's General Manager, YusrinalFitriandi, explained that the initiative is aimed at refining the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and addressing any potential issues that may arise during actual matches. With the new infrastructure at Kanjuruhan Stadium, there are several SOP updates still needed.
Yusrinal mentioned that they have ample time to gather further input and technical advice from the National Police’s team. He emphasized that given the recent infrastructure developments, updating the SOPs is essential.
To ensure the venue's readiness, Arema FC is also considering organizing a comprehensive match simulation prior to the official matches, although the exact timing is still under consideration. He also reiterated the club’s commitment to enhancing safety and comfort at the stadium, hoping for a positive response from all stakeholders.
The collaboration between the club, AremaniaUtas, security forces, and local authorities is expected to foster a safe and conducive football atmosphere for fans and the community. For context, the National Police's team conducted a risk assessment at Kanjuruhan Stadium from April 8 to 10, 2025, and the results placed the stadium in the 'good' category.
While Arema FC is pleased with the risk assessment outcome, they remain focused on further improvements. Yusrinal emphasized the importance of continuous coordination with all relevant parties to optimize the SOPs for match operations, prioritizing spectator safety and overall experience.
