Conte Decides to Stay at Napoli Amid Speculation of Juventus and AC Milan Moves

Antonio Conte has reportedly made a clear decision about his future, confirming his intention to stay at Napoli for at least the 2025-26 season, as per reports from Italy on Monday. Despite being appointed as Napoli’s head coach less than a year ago, Conte has been linked with a move away from the club, particularly to Juventus, who are still considering their options with interim manager Igor Tudor for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
Additionally, AC Milan has been rumored to be interested in Conte to replace their current coach, Sergio Conceicao, at the end of this season. However, despite these rumors and interest from his former clubs, Conte has decided to remain at Napoli and see through the project he started, aiming to guide the team to the 2025-26 Champions League, according to La Gazzettadello Sport.
The report further suggests that Napoli is preparing for a major squad overhaul during the summer transfer window, largely funded by the potential sales of players such as Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, and KhvichaKvaratskhelia, who could join Paris Saint-Germain in January. Conte is expected to play a significant role in Napoli’s recruitment efforts.
Before focusing on the transfer plans, Napoli and their coach will face Empoli in Serie A on Monday night, hoping to close the gap to league leaders Inter, currently six points ahead with seven matches remaining in the season.
