ASEAN Cup U-23 2025: Indonesia's New Host Cities Revealed

The venue for the 2025 ASEAN Cup U-23 has been changed, with the tournament now set to take place in two cities instead of Sidoarjo. Originally, the competition was to be held at Gelora Delta Sidoarjo, but the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), led by Chairman Erick Thohir, has confirmed that the games will be held in Jakarta and Bekasi. The tournament will run from June 15 to July 13, 2025.
The two stadiums selected for the event are the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (SUGBK) in Jakarta and the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium in Bekasi, West Java. This decision comes after the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) initially planned to host the tournament in Thailand but later changed its plans, making Indonesia the new host country for the 2025 ASEAN Cup U-23.
This marks the return of the ASEAN Cup U-23 after its last edition in 2023, where Thailand served as the host. Indonesia's U-23 team had a strong run, reaching the final but ultimately losing to Vietnam in a penalty shootout. With the change in venue, expectations are high for the Garuda Muda to perform well on home soil in 2025.
