He has stated that he is ready to take on a role at a lower-tier Premier League club that needs a manager for a two-year period, though he also mentioned the challenges of managing a team facing relegation.
The Portuguese manager has been clear about the emotional difficulty of dealing with relegation battles, admitting that it’s the most challenging aspect of football management. Mourinho emphasized that it’s more difficult than competing for titles, as relegation battles are life-changing and require a special kind of bravery from the manager.
