PSSI to Hold Mid-Year Congress Ahead of Indonesia vs China World Cup Qualifier

The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) is set to host its Annual Congress on June 4, 2025, in Jakarta, just one day before the national team faces China in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. The timing of this year’s congress is unusual, as it typically takes place early in the year. PSSI is currently finalizing preparations for the event, with details about the venue to be announced soon.
This year's congress will include routine agenda items such as financial reports and the previous year’s activity summary, as well as plans for the upcoming season. A potential amendment to the organization's statutes is also on the table, although this proposal is still being socialized to member voters. Input is being gathered from regional associations and clubs, who have the right to suggest modifications to the existing statutes.
The congress will be attended by 87 delegates, representing a wide range of football stakeholders across Indonesia. These include 34 regional football associations (Asprov), clubs from Liga 1, Liga 2, and Liga 3, along with three affiliated associations. Despite occurring close to a major international match and a national holiday, the event is expected to proceed in a routine and structured manner.
