Marcus Rashford Facing Season-Ending Injury Amid Uncertain Future

Marcus Rashford is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to a hamstring injury sustained during Aston Villa’s recent loss to Manchester City. The injury kept him out of the FA Cup semifinal against Crystal Palace, and medical evaluations suggest he could be sidelined for up to a month. Although he traveled with the squad to Wembley, he was declared unfit to play, and Villa manager Unai Emery confirmed that the forward's recovery would be assessed on a week-to-week basis.
The timing of Rashford's injury rules him out of Villa’s final match of the season, as league rules prevent him from facing his parent club, Manchester United. Medical teams from both Villa and United are now collaborating to plan his rehabilitation. Despite the setback, Rashford remains optimistic about regaining fitness in time for England’s international fixtures in June.
Meanwhile, Rashford's future remains uncertain. Aston Villa has yet to decide whether to activate the £40 million clause to make his loan move permanent. Reports suggest the player is keen to leave United permanently, believing he is not part of manager Ruben Amorim’s long-term plans. Rashford is reportedly aiming to secure a move to a club competing in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
