8 Liga 1 Clubs and Two Players Hit with PSSI Disciplinary Sanctions
Eight Liga 1 clubs and two players have recently been sanctioned by the Indonesian Football Association's Disciplinary Committee (Komdis PSSI). Among the clubs, PSS Sleman faced the heaviest penalty with a fine of IDR 200 million due to the actions of their supporters, who lit flares and set off firecrackers during a match against PSM Makassar. Other clubs, including Persija Jakarta and Persebaya Surabaya, were also fined for violations involving their supporters attending matches as away fans, with both clubs receiving fines of IDR 25 million.

In addition to the clubs, two players were also penalized. Ciro Alves of Persib Bandung received a two-match ban and a fine for violent conduct during a match against Malut United, while Yuran Fernandes of PSM Makassar was banned from football activities in Indonesia for one year and fined IDR 25 million after making derogatory comments on social media and damaging a VAR monitor. These penalties were part of a series of rulings made by Komdis PSSI in early May 2025.

Several other teams, including Arema FC, Persis Solo, and Dewa United FC, also faced fines or warnings for various infractions. These included issues such as unauthorized player participation in post-match press conferences and provocative banners displayed by fans. The disciplinary actions reflect the ongoing efforts by PSSI to maintain order and discipline within Indonesian football, aiming to curb disruptive behavior both on and off the field.
