PT LIB Adjusts Final Week Schedule for Liga 1 2024-25 Season

PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) has announced a shift in the schedule for the 34th and final week of the BRI Liga 1 2024-25 season. Initially set for May 25, 2025, the matches will now take place on May 23 and 24, 2025. Although the reason behind this change hasn't been disclosed, the rearranged schedule includes nine important fixtures across two days, including crucial battles for both the top spots and the relegation zone.

On May 23, five matches will kick off, with Persik Kediri facing Borneo FC in the afternoon. The evening will see several key matchups, such as Persebaya Surabaya against Bali United, Persija Jakarta hosting Malut United, PSM Makassar playing against Persita Tangerang, and Dewa United meeting PSBS Biak. The next day, on May 24, will feature four more simultaneous games, including the reigning champions Persib Bandung playing Persis Solo, and significant clashes for teams fighting relegation, like Arema FC against Semen Padang, PSIS Semarang facing Barito Putera, and Madura United taking on PSS Sleman.

As the season comes to a close, all eyes are on the relegation battle. While Persib Bandung has already been crowned champions, the focus shifts to which teams will remain in Liga 1 next season. PSIS Semarang has already been relegated, and teams like Barito Putera, PSS Sleman, Semen Padang, and Persis Solo are still fighting for survival, with the results of the final round set to determine their fate.
