West Java Governor and Officials Pledge Rp2 Billion Bonus for Persib’s Liga 1 Victory
Persib Bandung's triumphant campaign in the 2024-25 Liga 1 season has been met with a substantial reward from West Java’s regional leadership. Governor Dedi Mulyadi announced a bonus of Rp2 billion to recognize the club’s achievement. Notably, the funds will not come from the regional budget, but rather from a collective contribution involving Dedi himself and several West Java Provincial Government officials.

To coordinate the effort, the governor assigned the West Java Regional Secretary, Herman Suryatman, to mobilize contributions from other provincial officials. Dedi personally pledged Rp1 billion, while the remaining amount will be pooled from his colleagues, all done without using public funds. This gesture was revealed during a celebration at Gedung Sate in Bandung, attended by Persib supporters, known as Bobotoh.

At the same event, Persib Manager Umuh Muchtar expressed gratitude toward the governor and his team for the appreciation shown. He also conveyed hope that the club could replicate its success in the next season. The occasion served not just as a moment of celebration, but also as a platform to foster unity among fans and officials across West Java.
In his closing remarks, Umuh acknowledged the unwavering support of Bobotoh throughout the season. He urged fans to maintain order during the championship parade and emphasized the importance of everyone returning home safely. The celebration reflected not only sporting success but also the communal spirit surrounding Persib’s victory.
