Persija Jakarta Extends Contracts for Three Promising Young Players

Persija Jakarta has secured the future of three young talents by extending the contracts of Dony Tri, Rio Fahmi, and Aditya Warman. The club has committed to keeping Dony and Rio for an additional three years, while Aditya will remain with the team for two more years. This move comes after a significant squad reshuffle following the 2024-25 Liga 1 season, during which five foreign players and three locals were released.
Dony Tri and Rio Fahmi have been part of Persija since mid-2021, and their new deals potentially allow them to spend up to seven years with the club. Both players have become key members of the squad, with Dony earning multiple call-ups to the national youth teams and making 14 appearances this season, while Rio featured 28 times in the league.
Aditya Warman, the youngest among them, was recently promoted to the senior team and has started gaining valuable experience despite limited playing time, appearing in four matches and clocking just under an hour on the field. At only 20 years old, his contract extension reflects the club’s belief in his long-term potential.
The decision to retain these players highlights Persija’s focus on building a strong core of homegrown talent as they prepare for upcoming seasons. By investing in youth development, the club aims to maintain competitive performance while fostering player growth within their ranks.
