Persik Kediri Boosts Left Wing with Signing of Portuguese Winger Pedro Matos

Persik Kediri has officially signed Portuguese winger Pedro Matos to strengthen their left flank ahead of the 2025-26 Liga 1 season, which kicks off in August. The club views Matos as a key addition to enhance both their attacking depth and overall team performance in pursuit of improved results this season.
Pedro Matos, who previously played for Portuguese club AD Fafe, spent four seasons there and became an integral part of the team. Over 94 appearances, he contributed 19 goals and 8 assists, showcasing his consistency and impact in the final third. Persik management expects him to quickly adapt and develop chemistry with the rest of the squad in the short pre-season window remaining.
The club has also confirmed the signing of three other foreign players: goalkeeper Leo Navacchio, defender Francisco Pereira Carneiro (Kiko), and midfielder TelmoCastanheira. Pedro Matos completes the initial set of foreign imports, although management hinted that more names could be added once pending administrative processes are finalized.
Despite ongoing recruitment, Persik’s training sessions remain intensive at GeloraDahaJayati Stadium in Kediri. The team is focused on maximizing preparation time and ensuring all players are physically and mentally ready to compete strongly when the new season begins.
