From Transfer Target to Key Player: Bayern Munich Plans New Deal for Gnabry

Bayern Munich initially considered selling Serge Gnabry during the 2025 summer transfer window, but his recent impressive performances have prompted the club to rethink. The 30-year-old winger has made six appearances across all competitions, contributing two goals and three assists, showcasing his value to the team.
Christoph Freund, Bayern’s sporting director, confirmed that Gnabry’s contract, currently set to expire in summer 2026, is now slated for extension. Freund emphasized Gnabry’s full fitness, exceptional quality, and strong character as key reasons for the club’s decision to retain him.
Gnabry’s current market value stands at 22 million euros, equivalent to roughly 430 billion rupiah, and it is expected to rise if he continues performing at a high level. His resurgence has shifted Bayern’s perspective from viewing him as a potential sale to seeing him as a vital asset for the squad.
Looking ahead, Gnabry will prepare with Bayern Munich for their upcoming Bundesliga clash against TSG Hoffenheim in week four at PreZero Arena, aiming to maintain his form and justify the club’s renewed commitment.
