The Asian qualifiers include traditional powers such as Japan, South Korea, Iran, and Australia, alongside newcomers Uzbekistan, Jordan, Arab Saudi, and Qatar. Two additional Asian teams, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, still have a chance to qualify through intercontinental playoffs.
Africa has also finalized its lineup, sending nine teams to the tournament. Notably, Cape Verde will make its World Cup debut, joining established sides like Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Tunisia. Their qualification marks a historic moment for the nation, adding fresh excitement to the African contingent.
South America has produced six qualifiers, including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Meanwhile, North America is represented by the three host nations: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Europe has so far confirmed only England, while Oceania sees New Zealand advancing to the tournament.
With several confederations still completing their qualification processes, the full roster of 48 teams is expected by early 2026. The confirmed lineup already highlights a blend of experienced powerhouses and emerging nations, setting the stage for a diverse and competitive World Cup.
