Levi Colwill Making Strong Recovery, Targets Return This Season

Chelsea correspondent Lloyd Canfield and Dan King of The Sun report in their weekly column that defender Levi Colwill is making excellent progress in his rehabilitation and is targeting a return to action before the current season concludes.
Colwill’s serious injury was arguably one of the biggest losses for Chelsea this season. The England international suffered a severe anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury on the very first day of pre-season following the club’s Club World Cup victory.
His subsequent surgery and long-term absence dealt a heavy blow to the team, prompting manager Enzo Maresca to reportedly plead with the Chelsea ownership to sign a new center-back—a request that was ultimately not granted.
However, The Sun can reveal that Colwill is well into his recovery phase and is pushing to return to the pitch this season. While the defender still has a long way to go before joining full training, he is currently working hard to regain knee mobility, and all signs indicate the process is going smoothly.
