Inter and AC Milan Set to Gain Major Revenue Boost from New San Siro

Inter Milan and AC Milan are positioned to benefit financially from the redevelopment of the San Siro, following the formal signing confirming joint ownership of the stadium. This project marks a significant step for both clubs, as it represents a long-term strategic move aimed at strengthening their financial foundations and modernizing their matchday environment.
The redevelopment plan is designed to transform the stadium from a venue used primarily on matchdays into a multi-purpose complex that operates throughout the week. This shift is expected to dramatically increase revenue opportunities by incorporating new commercial spaces, entertainment facilities, and hospitality offerings that attract visitors outside of match schedules.
Currently, each club earns around 80 million euros per season from ticket sales, hospitality, and other game-related activities. However, these earnings are limited by the stadium’s existing usage model, which does not generate consistent activity or revenue on non-match days. The new structure aims to change that dynamic entirely.
Projections indicate that once the new version of San Siro is fully operational, annual revenue for each club could climb to approximately 180 million euros beginning in the 2031–2032 season. This potential increase would provide both clubs with a substantial financial advantage, enhancing their ability to remain competitive in both domestic and European football.
