Liverpool Reportedly Preparing €100 Million Bid for Inter Defender Alessandro Bastoni

Liverpool is said to be preparing a major offer of around €100 million to pursue Alessandro Bastoni, viewing the Italian defender as an ideal long-term solution for their back line. The Premier League club is reportedly considering him as a replacement option for Ibrahima Konaté, whose future situation has raised internal questions. The rumored bid reflects Liverpool’s readiness to invest significantly to reinforce their defensive structure.
However, Inter Milan is not believed to be open to negotiations regarding Bastoni. The defender remains under contract until June 2028 and is considered a key figure in the club’s ongoing project. With a salary reflecting his importance and consistent performances in Serie A and European competition, the club regards him as irreplaceable in the near future.
While rejecting outside interest, Inter continues to explore ways to strengthen its overall defensive depth. The scouting department is actively monitoring several possible additions in the Premier League and other European leagues. Names such as Marc Guéhi, Nathan Aké, and Dayot Upamecano are reportedly being studied as future targets.
In the meantime, adjustments within the current squad are expected. Young defender Tomas Palacios is likely to be loaned out for more experience, while Yann Bisseck may be moved permanently. These decisions suggest Inter is planning carefully to maintain a strong defensive core while keeping future options open, even as Bastoni remains central to their long-term strategy.
