Carlos Augusto is reportedly close to finalizing a long-term contract extension with Inter Milan, turning down offers from Premier League clubs. Negotiations with his agent, Giuseppe Riso, have progressed positively, and both sides are confident that a formal agreement will be completed in the coming weeks. The proposed deal would keep Augusto at San Siro until 2030, ensuring his long-term presence at the club.
The extension includes a significant annual salary increase, reportedly around €3 million, reflecting his growing importance to the team. Despite interest from England last summer, serious discussions with Premier League clubs never materialized, and Augusto has expressed his desire to continue developing his career at Inter.
Since joining from Monza, Augusto has become a key player under coach Cristian Chivu. His adaptability allows him to perform effectively as both a full-back and a center-back within a three-man defensive system, earning praise for his consistency and tactical awareness.
