Indonesia U-22 Finalizes SEA Games Squad: 10 Players to Be Cut Ahead of Thailand 2025

Indonesia’s U-22 national team is intensifying its preparations for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, currently hosting a final training camp with 33 players. The camp recently welcomed three new additions, including Luke Xavier Keet from Greece’s second division and two players from the Philippine league, aiming to evaluate their potential for the final squad.
The training program is designed to run until the football tournament begins on December 3, with Indonesia placed in Group C alongside Myanmar, Singapore, and the Philippines. Coach Indra Sjafri plans to reduce the squad to 23 players in line with SEA Games regulations, meaning ten players will be dropped. The final roster is expected to be announced on November 26 or 27 after all selection stages and trial matches are completed.
Ahead of the announcement, the team will play two friendly matches against Mali at Stadion Pakansari in Cibinong on November 15 and 18. These matches serve as an important assessment for the coach to finalize the squad and fine-tune strategies before the SEA Games kickoff.
Indra Sjafri expressed gratitude for the support from PSSI, Kemenpora, and clubs, both domestic and international, that allowed players to join the training camp. He emphasized that this collaboration was crucial in executing the long-term preparation plan, ensuring the U-22 team is fully ready for the SEA Games competition.
