Shearer Suggests Salah May Feel Undervalued Amid Liverpool's Expensive Transfers
Alan Shearer, speaking in an interview with Betfair, pointed to the decline in Mohamed Salah's performance as a significant factor in Liverpool's current struggles.

Shearer speculated that the Egyptian forward's dip in form might stem from a feeling of being marginalized after the club's heavy investment in new attacking talent. "I don't know if Salah feels he's no longer the main man because the club spent big money on Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak," Shearer commented.

He suggested that Salah’s slump could be attributed to one of two reasons: "Either his quality is simply not what it was due to age, or he has something on his mind."

Regardless of the cause, Shearer concluded that the current version of the Egyptian King is unrecognizable from his previous stellar form. "What is certain is that we are not seeing the same Salah we used to see. In fact, that same statement could be applied to most of the players in the Liverpool squad right now," he added, indicating a widespread issue within the team.
