Bayern Munich Women staged a sensational comeback to defeat Arsenal Women 3-2 in Matchday 3 of the Women's Champions League league phase on January 13th
Arsenal dominated the first half, taking a commanding two-goal lead courtesy of strikes from Emily Fox and Alessia Russo.
The tide turned dramatically in the second half. Bayern began their fightback in the 67th minute when Lina Magull netted to reduce the deficit. The equalizer came in the 80th minute from Pernille Harder. The incredible turnaround was completed in the 86th minute when Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir scored the decisive winner.
Crucially, all three of Bayern's goals were set up by an outstanding performance from winger Klara Bühl, who registered a remarkable three assists. The 3-2 victory marks a huge win for Bayern in the group stage.
