PSSI Sets Sights on Heimir Hallgrimsson as Potential New Indonesia Coach

Reports suggest that PSSI is eyeing Hallgrimsson to replace Patrick Kluivert, following an initial wave of speculation surrounding Timur Kapadze. The news surfaced through Irish media outlets indicating that Indonesia is evaluating Hallgrimsson as a possible appointment amid uncertainty about his future with Ireland.
Hallgrimsson’s tenure with the Republic of Ireland began in mid-2024, where he managed 14 matches, securing five wins, three draws, and six defeats. His contract runs until March 2026, but his position reportedly came under review after a challenging World Cup qualifying campaign.
