Liverpool Made Verbal Offer for Bradley Barcola, but PSG Immediately Rejected the Approach

Liverpool reportedly made a verbal offer for Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola during the summer transfer window, according to well-known journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
Liverpool were actively searching for a new forward throughout the summer and had listed the French international as one of their potential targets. Barcola temporarily became a key focus when the Premier League club faced difficulties in reaching an agreement with Newcastle United for the signing of Swedish international Alexander Isak.
However, the attempt to acquire the former Lyon forward was swiftly rejected by the Parisian club. Anfield officials submitted the verbal bid to PSG through intermediaries, but Paris Saint-Germain quickly and clearly dismissed the possibility of selling the 23-year-old forward, outright rejecting the approach from the English club. Ultimately, Liverpool successfully secured the signings of Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike just before the transfer window closed.
In related transfer news, Liverpool is now seriously considering a move for Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo in the winter transfer window and has already begun substantive negotiations. Liverpool is fully aware of Semenyo’s approximately 70 million Euros release clause. Despite the player’s anticipated participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, Liverpool remains keen on the pursuit but faces intense competition from several other top English clubs.
