Never Before Seen: Gueye Sent Off for Slapping Teammate Michael Keane During On-Field Row

In a bizarre and highly unusual incident during the Premier League Matchday 12 fixture between Everton and Manchester United at Old Trafford, Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye was sent off in just the 13th minute of the first half.
The controversial red card was issued after a breakdown in communication led to a confrontation between Gueye and his teammate, defender Michael Keane, following a Manchester United attack.
Gueye appeared to be verbally arguing with Keane about his performance before the argument escalated, and Gueye slapped his teammate. Referee Tony Harrington witnessed the action and immediately showed Gueye a straight red card.
Following the dismissal, Gueye reacted furiously, forcing teammates like Iliman Ndiaye and goalkeeper Jordan Pickford to intervene repeatedly to calm him down. The incident left many observers baffled, as a player being sent off for a physical altercation with a teammate is an extremely rare occurrence in professional football.
