Live UEFA Coefficient Rankings: Premier League Leads, Serie A Climbs to 3rd as La Liga Drops
Following the conclusion of this morning's Europa League and Conference League fixtures, there have been significant shifts in the season's UEFA coefficient rankings. The Premier League and the Bundesliga remain in the top two positions, but Serie A has jumped up to third place, while La Liga dropped out of the top five after a disappointing matchday performance.

The Portuguese Primeira Liga and the Polish Ekstraklasa both maintained convincing performances, keeping their leagues within the top five. The French Ligue 1 also managed to close the gap on the top five.
Top of the Table and UCL Implications

The rules for allocating the extra Champions League slots remain the same as last season: the two leagues that finish the season with the highest UEFA coefficients will each receive an additional Champions League spot. (Last season, the extra spots went to the Premier League and La Liga.)

The current top leagues are:
1. Premier League (England): 10.833 points (9 teams participating)
2. Bundesliga (Germany): 9.857 points (7 teams participating)
3. Serie A (Italy): 9.571 points (7 teams participating)
4. Primeira Liga (Portugal): 9.400 points
5. Ekstraklasa (Poland): 9.375 points

Significantly, La Liga has fallen to joint 6th place with 9.250 points (8 teams participating), while Ligue 1 sits in 8th place with 8.214 points.

The coefficient score is calculated as the average points earned by all participating clubs from each league. Teams qualifying for the Champions League group stage are awarded 6 bonus points, and additional points are gained through match results and advancing through tournament rounds.
