Persija Allows Rizky Ridho to Play Abroad with Conditions for His Return

Persija Jakarta recently extended Rizky Ridho’s contract until 2028, securing his role in the team for the long term. The extension was negotiated with several key clauses to ensure both parties’ interests are protected, especially considering Ridho’s previous contract was set to expire in 2026. The management acted quickly to prevent losing a valuable player.
A notable point in the new agreement is Persija’s willingness to allow Ridho to pursue opportunities with foreign clubs. This clause was mutually agreed upon, reflecting both the club’s openness and the player’s ambitions. While Ridho has received overseas offers, he remains committed to contributing to Persija’s current campaign.
Persija’s director, Mohamad Prapanca, emphasized that the club is prepared to support Ridho’s career abroad without severing ties. The contract includes a special provision ensuring that if he plays overseas for a period, he will return to fulfill his existing contract obligations with Persija once that period ends.
The agreement also stipulates that Ridho cannot join another Indonesian club upon returning if his contract with Persija is still active. Any foreign club engagements will be coordinated jointly between the player and the club. Prapanca expressed confidence that Ridho will make his decisions willingly, maintaining his loyalty and focus on Persija’s long-term goals.
