FIFA Announces 2026 World Cup Schedule Release Date: Global Broadcast Set for December 6th

FIFA has officially announced the schedule release date for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The full match schedule will be unveiled during a global broadcast event from Washington D.C. on Saturday, December 6th, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time (0:00 AM WIB, December 7th).
This highly anticipated release will take place approximately 24 hours after the draw determines the results of the newly implemented 12 groups of four teams. FIFA President Gianni Infantino will lead the broadcast, joined by FIFA legends and representatives from all 42 qualified nations, as well as teams still in contention.
During the live show, which will be broadcast on FIFA platforms including FIFA.com and the official YouTube channel, the venues and kick-off times for all 104 matches will be confirmed. The program will feature expert analysis of the match-ups, key storylines, and an introduction to the 16 vibrant Host Cities that will welcome fans next June and July.
FIFA confirmed that the match allocation process following the draw is designed to optimize conditions for both teams and spectators, while also aiming to maximize live viewing opportunities for global fans across different time zones. The final, definitive version of the match schedule will be released next March, once the last six qualifying spots have been confirmed through the FIFA and European play-offs.
