Romano: "Here We Go!" Füllkrug Set to Join AC Milan on Loan

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Niclas Füllkrug is on the verge of joining AC Milan from West Ham United. The deal is reported as a "Here We Go," indicating that all major agreements are in place for the German international to move to the San Siro during the upcoming winter transfer window.
The transfer is structured as an initial loan deal until June 2026. Crucially, the agreement includes a non-mandatory buy option set at €13 million (with some reports suggesting it could reach up to €14 million). Milan will take over the player's full salary for the duration of the loan, while West Ham has opted to facilitate the move after Füllkrug struggled to secure regular playing time in the Premier League.
Since his move to London from Borussia Dortmund in 2024, the 32-year-old striker has faced a challenging period, recording only three goals and finding himself sidelined by injuries and tactical mismatches. Despite receiving interest from several Bundesliga clubs, Füllkrug reportedly prioritized the move to Milan. For the Italian side, the veteran forward offers a much-needed physical presence and experience in attack, especially with Santiago Giménez currently sidelined due to surgery.
