Official: Barcelona Renew Fermín López Until 2031

FC Barcelona has officially announced that the club has renewed the contract of 22-year-old midfielder Fermín López until 2031. According to previous reports from Fabrizio Romano, Fermín will receive a salary increase following the renewal, while his release clause will be raised to a level described as “almost impossible to trigger.”

FC Barcelona and first-team player Fermín López have reached an agreement to renew his contract and improve its terms, extending the deal by two years until June 30, 2031.

In the coming days, the contract will be formally signed at President Joan Laporta’s office, and the player will also attend a media interview at that time.

Fermín is 22 years old and a product of Barcelona’s youth academy. He was promoted to the first team in the 2023/24 season and has since made 114 appearances for the club, scoring 29 goals and providing 22 assists. This season, he has played 26 matches in all competitions for Barcelona, starting 18 of them, and has already recorded double figures with 10 goals and 11 assists.
